The Finance Lady was established in 2014 by experienced Taranaki Finance Manager, Karen Healy and her husband Simon Foster
With over 20 years’ experience in the automotive and finance fields, Karen had a genuine desire to want to help her clients with their whole range of financing needs. She wanted to establish a finance brokerage where, she could be offering finance on a silage wagon to a farmer, whilst quoting him leasing figures on a family sedan and helping his 18 year old son into a motorbike loan.
Repeated requests by people she knew, made her realise there was indeed a market for this type of facility. No pressure, “finance without fuss” is very much the company motto.
Karen is Taranaki born and bred, with twenty years’ experience in the automotive and finance sector, both at senior management level in finance companies and as a dealership Business Manager.
Karen has a real desire to help clients across their whole range of financing needs and represents Credit One in Taranaki as The Finance Lady.
No pressure, ‘finance without fuss’ is very much her motto – “We genuinely want our clients to become our friends and recognise that trust and integrity are vital elements in a long-term relationship”
Karen enjoys time in the garden of her rural property in Urenui, which she shares with her husband, Simon and two dogs – a manic, boisterous Bearded Collie, Spencer, and an elderly deaf ‘rescued’ Border Collie named Precious.
Whenever Karen and Simon get chance, they race to Auckland to spend time with their lovely grandchildren, Dylan, and Lyla.

He shares Karen’s dedication to customer service and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, as well as marketing our services to a rapidly expanding client base.
When Simon is not mowing the lawns of his and Karen’s property, he is an avid fisherman. Last year he took up flyfishing, although so far, the Taranaki trout population has been unaffected. He is also a keen collector of vintage fishing tackle.
